Renovation project near Brechin

Supply of large format limestone flooring, custom slate worktops and driftwood style oak flooring.

The Brief

Adams and Adams undertook the refurbishment of their home and business premises in 2013, which included the complete renovation of the kitchen, dining and lounge areas.

As their home showcased their skills as interior designers the flooring products chosen had to provide the perfect palette for the living areas, having character in their own right but also complimenting the other fittings, finishings and soft furnishings. Strathearn were delighted to supply new oak and stone flooring and custom slate kitchen worktops to meet the brief.

The Solution

The Misto Tumbled Limestone flooring for the kitchen and dining areas was supplied in an extra large format of 600mm x Free Length tiles, offering a refined random flagstone floor with grey and taupe tones, and providing the perfect backdrop for the bespoke hand-painted kitchen. To add the finishing touch our 25mm thick Riverblack Slate was supplied in custom sized pieces for the kitchen worktop, completing the look beautifully.

To offer continuity of tones from the stone flooring in the kitchen to the timber flooring in lounge, our Chambord Bordeaux Oak flooring was the perfect choice. This driftwood effect timber with subtle grey and brown tones and a textured brushed surface provides a subtle yet characterful floor and the 180mm wide boards give just the right perspective.
