Where we come from is often just as important as who we are and what we do. Forteviot has about 100 people. We have a ‘chocolate box’ perfect village square. Anthropologists and Archeologists are interminably intrigued by our heritage; Bronze Age, Iron Age, 9th century, 12th century. But, intriguing, compelling and fascinating as we are, we still manage to be a community and live and work together in a beautiful environment, unspoiled by our ‘supposed’ claims to fame.

Since 2003, Strathearn Stone & Timber, have upheld the tradition of transforming natural beauty into living spaces that echo exactly the essence of our background; a warm place with no pretension and a true sense of enduring beauty that has nothing to do with trends and everything to do with longevity.

We understand that we’re not exactly on the beaten track, but we also know that we’re one of Scotland’s best kept secrets. Internationally renowned architects, designers, contractors and individuals visit on a regular basis; we live in a beautiful space and we work well with others. We’re also good at talking over the phone, working up plans virtually, bouncing around ideas with teams whose faces we seldom see, we’re flexible and easy going and endlessly interested.
